It’s always about the light.

Soft light, starlight and shadow,

diamonds on city streets, and sparkles on the water.

I follow light.

I wait for my interpretation of Cartier Bresson’s "Decisive Moment."

It’s about  beauty or catching some unaffected emotions.

It’s about framing and time and motion,

and more about what I choose to leave out,

and how long the shutter is open.

It’s about ethical choices,

and always about the lens and camera body.

It’s about the chemistry inside the darkroom,

seeing the image appear like magic every time.

It’s about the abundance of digital resources for development.

It’s about papers and substrates.

It’s about finding my way to the very best solution

for the little problem I’ve created for myself to solve.
